Sorry not beeing able to help you directly, but: I installed Linux on a Computer with no floppy, only a LS-120 drive without any problems. I put a custom kernel with atapi-floppy support on the boot disk, put this in the LS-120 drive from where it booted correctly and showed me the install menu after a while.
Can't speak about rawrite though. I created the boot disk on another computer with a normal floppy drive.
