I installed Netscape while running X at 32 bpp. Now, when I change to 24 bpp by altering /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers and restarting xdm, Netscape has problems. Opening pages with Java in them makes Netscape crash with a bus error. Also, the icons become monochromatic (sometimes black, sometimes red, etc. Can anyone sugggest a solution?
