Thanks to any and all that replied, but I found the answer my own stupid self. it seems that I needed to get the apache-dev package (the Configuration file is located within the /usr/include/apache along with the other source files that I need to do a 'make' on. Still trying to work out the kinks, but I think I'm on the right track now.
