thanks,  that was very useful.  One thing (not sure how feasable this is)
-- is there a way to get it stay on one filesystem?  For example,  doing
'redice /usr',  I get the whole /usr,  including /usr/local,  which is a
seperate filesystem mounted on the /usr/local mount point.
