> Has anybody installed Applixware on a Debian system? yep it works fine. i found the easist way to do it is to use alien to convert the rpm's into deb's. this works great so long as you don't mind it installing to /opt (which i don't)... just make sure you have enough disk space on your root partition or better yet make /opt a symlink to /usr/local/opt .
the only gotcha i've found is that with some versions of debmake the packages won't convert properly so make sure you have a recent version (not sure which version was the issue anymore). adam. ------------------------ Internet Alaska ------------------------- 4050 Lake Otis Adam Shand (v) +1 907 562 4638 Anchorage, Alaska Systems Administrator (f) +1 907 562 1677 ----------------- http://larry.earthlight.co.nz ------------------ -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
