Well, they're compatible in the sense that they work, and if you can figure out the pinouts on the 9 pin plug on the back you can write some software to monitor them. (It's not so bad as all that; some folks have made a stab at writing the software already). However, APC does not support Linux; they don't release the design specs nor do they port their "Powerchute" software to Linux. If you can deal with that, than you're ok.
