Though I did not comment upon the original message, I too feel as you do
and that is that I have seen that code (1FA:) displayed on a machine
that did not have Linux installed. This is strictly SWAG but I think
that it came from the ROM on a SCSI controller card at the time that I
believe that I saw it.
