In Hamm, the scripts are in /etc/ppp/provider and /etc/chatscripts. Once in there they are just like the old bo scripts. The update should have taken your old info and used it. BTW there is a howto for debian in the works on www.debian.org/cgi-bin/fom. There is a ppp section.
