Just to clarify, there should be multiple directories under ${JAVA_HOME}/jre/plugin/i386 - one for Netscape 4 type browsers, one for Netscape 6 (and earlier Mozilla,) and one for Netscape 6.10 and all recent Mozilla. Link libjavaplugin_oji.so symbolically to the Mozilla plugins directory as javaplugin.so if you are using debs for Mozilla (in which case your plugin directory is probably /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins,) or ${MOZILLA_HOME}/plugins if you are installing via the Mozilla.org installer, and there you use the full libjavaplugin_oji.so name for the link. Although I'm not personally aware of the situation with Java on other architectures, I presume that the situation is comparable there. -- Mark L.
