Has anyone found a way for the TERM setters to determine whether or not an xterm can do color xterm stuff? For example, I ssh into my linux box a lot from Sun machines, which set TERM=xterm. But the sun xterms can't handle color xterm stuff, and therefore it needs to be set TERM=xterm-old. But I haven't found a way for .bashrc to tell the difference between these sun boxes and other machines that CAN to xterm-color stuff, so I have to do it by hand.
