I am installing applix 4.3 and have hit a snag. I converted the rpms from the CD to debian packages using alien which resulted in:
applix-books-english_4.3-2_i386.deb applix-clipart_4.3-2_i386.deb applix-english_4.3-2_i386.deb applix-libs_4.3-2_i386.deb applix_4.3-2__i386.deb I made /opt a symlink to /home/opt and /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/applix a symlink to /home/opt/applix (due to disk space considerations) and then installed the debs using dpkg -i *.deb. This all went fine. Here's the catch... when I try to run applix I get an error saying that there aren't any languages installed. I assume there is some kind of postinstall script in the rpms that was lost in the conversion - anybody know what will fix this? Thanks!
