Encouraged by the responses in this group, (and carefully looking at the .tgz files) I went ahead and untarred them. I ran the supplied xf86config and guessed at my monitor setting. Then I editied the Xserver file to point the new server. Works great! Now to fine tune for my monitor (after I find out what kind it is). Thanks! Dale -- Dale P.
