Exactly - just going into Linux a few weeks ago I had a look on S.u.s.e, Redhat, DDl and - good luck - detected debian which became immediately my favorite. I'm not a typical office or home-user, I have a lot of programming experience but the Unix world is quite different. I understand that the editor vi was developed for terminals without cursors but it's a starter's horror. A promising concurrence to MS are concepts as developed in StarOffice4.0 or the KDE window manager. However, they all need a comfortable LINUX installation for a further growing market share. And time is running, especially if Micro$oft might win the game against the US-Justice department. __ IT http://home.kiss.de/~i_thum/ Web-Design, HTML, JavaScript -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
