Will state problem clearly.. It's not a libc6 problem. It's a "newer version of NIS won't talk to older version of NIS" kind of problem. I have already verified this on our machines at work. For some reason, the new NIS clients in the new Debian package don't like talking with the older version on the Master server. If this is simply my probem, fine.. lord knows I didn't try to do extensive troubleshooting when it wouldn't work.. however, since it's only a new version, it should have extended, not replaced the existing framework of NIS, that kind of thing goes against every RFC out there. -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
