Hello, I have recently installed an ATI FireGL 8800 card; I use the latest fglrx driver provided by ATI (precompiled for X 4.2). After installation of the driver I've noticed that viewing video files via XVideo extension produces a horizontally stretched image, as if the aspect ratio was tweaked. Another strange effect of playing video files with progs like xine and mplayer is that they recognize the correct aspect ratio of the video file, but as long as the video is overlayed via XVideo extension - only the left half of the image can be seen inside xine's/mplayer's output window. Some other extensions - namely XShm and gl - work fine, but are incredibly slow when viewed fullscreen. According to the logs, no errors or warnings were produced while loading XVideo extension at boot. Has anyone a suggestion to how would it be possible to resolve this issue.
