Emacs booted up after I downgraded xlib6-3.3-5 (in hamm) to xlib6-3.3-3 (in bo).
I didn't have to touch xlib6g. I am unfamiliar with the use of strace, but when I tried it, the core dump occured as a SIGSEGV, right after getting the PID.
