I've had extremely good luck with the Kingston Tulip based cards. They're fairly cheap ($50 or so for 10mb, $90 or so for 100mb), and i've found them to be very fast, reliable, and well-supported by Linux.
The 10mb card is a combo card (aui, utp, coax all on one card).
