I guess it should be because some library incompatibilities.

You have more options, I'm not sure which breaks your client system, and
which not:
- copy /lib and possibly other dirs and files to your client
- update all packages on the client
- use the nfsroot package (but possibly copy all files to client instead of
booting from the server).
There are surely more ways, I could come up with these.
