Also I prefer to make sure that mysql version 4 max is installed on my box as 
followed

/var/local/mysql
Mainy OS put mysql in usr/bin
making the database a bit unstable.
then to make all working in good functions I copy the link of mysql.sock to 
/var/lib/mysql
