64kb/s is fast enough to run X, but slow enough to be very bad for your productivity. I suspect 250 kb/s is fast enough to work, though you'll probably don't want to display too many big graphix, or play fast games over it. > Also, how would I start it (if possible)? On client, do: $ telnet server #login now. $ echo $DISPLAY #if this is empty, set display to clientname:0 $ xterm& Now you've got an xterm sitting on your client, running on your server. You can also start other programmes. -- joost witteveen, [EMAIL PROTECTED] #!/usr/bin/perl -sp0777i<X+d*lMLa^*lN%0]dsXx++lMlN/dsM0<j]dsj $/=unpack('H*',$_);$_=`echo 16dio\U$k"SK$/SM$n\EsN0p[lN*1 lK[d2%Sa2/d0$^Ixp"|dc`;s/\W//g;$_=pack('H*',/((..)*)$/) #what's this? see http://www.dcs.ex.ac.uk/~aba/rsa/ -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
