Hello, I'm trying to configure the vga16fb frame buffer device thats compiled into the 2.4.18-bf24 kernel that comes with Woody.
Reading Documentation/kernel-parameters.txt suggests I need to do this via lilo using the option append="video= " However I cant find anywhere the format that the arguments to that append need to take! I have read the docs in Documents/fb, I've read the boot-paramaters HOWTO. A search of the list archives pulled up one message where someone illustrated how his ati fb device was configured using the video= line, but no mention of how you configure the vga16fb device. So does anyone have any pointers or suggestions as to how to format the line append="video= " line in order to change the resolution the vga16fb frame buffer device uses??
