I've never had any problems with: 1. LILO 2. Partition Magic's Boot Manager 3. DOS config.sys menu+LOADLIN (I used this with a disk that had DiskManager, as I wasn't sure whether it and LILO would try to write to the same point on the MBR.)
In any case, making boot/rescue floppies for each o/s is probably a good idea.
