My harping about remembering selections has to do with selecting to upgrade something that requires a reboot to take effect or messes the system up until it IS rebooted. Then not running dselect again for a month and in the meantime, a newer version of this is uploaded to the FTP site. You run dselect, forget that you had selected some obscure package that is quite large or requires reboot, select a bunch of docs, walk away while it is downloading come back to find that you need to reboot a network server and knock a bunch of folks "off the air" for a few minutes.
