~/.mh_profile is the wrong place. The "mta: sendmail" option would go in the config file that is used when MH is compiled. The "servers:" line would go in the mtstailor file -- I'm not sure where this file goes on a debian system (unfortunately, I don't have debian installed right now). > BTW, I'm running sendmail (with only the -q option) instead of smail, > if that makes a difference.
