I have changed my main.cf with the following. Do you think this might work?
I unquoted the parameter: local_recipient_maps = unix:passwd.byname and then added to smtpd_client_restrictions, permit_local_recipient_maps
I'm not using SASL actually, although I would love to. I just haven't gotten to configuring that yet.
