I use the Trident 9440AGi card with X windows. You will need the SVGA server for X windows to drive this card. Be aware that you may have to lie to the configuration program and state the video ram as twice the size reported by SuperProbe. I ran into this situation when I configured Xwindows. I don't know if it is a problem with SuperProbe or the server.
