ok, so i've been trying a few new things, and still can't figure outWhat do you mean by "can't connect"? Are you trying to mount a samba share? An NFS share? Trying to telnet in? SSH? SFTP? FTP? Are you trying to connect by name or IP? Does Windows give any error messages?
what's wrong...
here's the latest:
can ping woody from win2k
can access services on win2k from woody
can access services on woody from potato
potato connects flawlessly with both win2k and woody.
hosts.deny is now blank
so the only problem is that win2k can't connect to woody if it initiates
the connection (except ping).
setup:
3 machines on lan
win2k 192.168.1.2
woody 192.168.1.3
potato 192.168.1.9
I really really need help with this. it's driving me insane! PLEASE HELP,
