You're not using ssh X forwarding.  Browse the archives for this list,
or read the Remote-X-Apps mini-HOWTO (off of http://tldp.org/ or under
/usr/share/doc/HOWTO).  You probably want to use 'ssh -X remote.host'
and not try to do any other configuration.
