I've been trying to do so using floppies whose raw images I ftped. I think there is a problem with getting these images copied on the floppies...I'm using a Unix system to make these floppies..and I think it automatically MOUNTS the image onto the DOS floppy. When trying to boot from these floppies, the first one works fine..the Installation boot floppy. Next, when it asks for the installation root floppy, after I slip it in it gives the following error:
crc error <5>VFS: Insert root floppy and press ENTER. when I do so again, it gives the following long error: --------------------------------------------------------------------- [MS-DOS FS Rel 12, FAT 12, check=n, conv=b, uid=0, gid=0, umask=022] [me=0xc9, cs=580, #f=121, fs=10636, fl=56346, ds=12758, de=61312, data=16593, se=9149, ts=-860703613, ls=2973] Transaction block size=512 Kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on 02:00 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Can anyone figure this out?
