Thanks for participating. I really didn't have localhost in my hosts.nntp file. I added it there but result is still the same as earlier. I still have no idea what's the problem. Though suck news.server.com | lpost is working fine. I still would like to use Debians get-news.inn script so any suggestion are welcome. regards, Tapio
