1) In stall multiple Linuxes.
2) Run Debian without X
3) Run debian as chroot from X-less Suse.
4) Run Suse as chroot from X-less Debian

If problem is X in woody, install one from Unstable and its
dependencies.  For me, this stopped my system FREEZE.

If you are after Server, you do not need X most likely.
