Currently We're using the Debian sarge with kernal 2.6.11 on one Dell
desktop. We have one Intel Pro/wireless 2011 PC card and one Intel Pro/wireless 2011 LAN PCI
Carrier. "The Intel PRO/Wireless 2011 LAN PCI Carrier is a PCMCIA-to-PCI
conversion card designed to provide a means for the Intel PRO/Wireless
2011 LAN PC Card to be used in a desktop PC".
We have enable all Bus options in "Make menuconfig",however the system
still cannot recognize the "Carrier".
after "lspci",we get:

Looking at the "0000:02:08.0 Network controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown
device 1042 (rev 10)", it's the problem.
the vendor:code is "0000:02:08.0 0280: 8086:1042 (rev 10)" for the unknown
device.
Hopefully, u can give us some solutions.
