Hi, Ok this is a bit late but I've just managed to get full screen with X and now I'm starting to look at the same for text mode. I remember reading somewhere that the following option: CONFIG_FONT_8x8=y or CONFIG_FONT_8x16=y should be set to 'n' otherwise any vga=xxx will not last and the kernel will be set to it's default. This is untested (by me) but is certainly worth playing around with. Oh, the kernel I got those options from: config-2.4.18-bf2.4 I would be trying it myself, but and I think its a big but I have a 133Mhz laptop with 49M RAM and a HD with 148M free and that's without any kernel-source package which I don't think is good enough. Can anyone confirm any of the affirmations. -- Chris. ====== -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
