Hi,
I'm trying to get Oracle 9i going on my new sarge system. The installer
fails with the following error:
error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
According to the package search page, the only package that has that
particular file is libstdc++2.9-glibc2.1:
http://packages.debian.org/stable/oldlibs/libstdc++2.9-glibc2.1
It is in Woody, but only depends on libc6 >= 2.1.2, so it installs fine
on Sarge. I know becuase I used it in the past when I had to run
Netscape 4.77 for something.
Just FYI, going to packages.debian.org, at the bottom you will see a
search dialog where can enter in a file name and see which packages in
the distribution have files with that name (or even part of it).
