Hi there, I'm trying to configuring my squid of my home's box. I've read some howto's but I can't acess it from my job (though I can ping my box from it). I tried to access the internet using my little proxy but the following error "The URL could not be retrieved". Is there any reason specifically for this error? Further, I just configured the port (default: 3128) and the hostname (myhostname.homelinux.net). Then, I restarted the service. Is there anything I should do basically to make my squid works? -- let's say..."pure" with no firewall rules yet.
