I'm also running adblock and launchy and dictionary search and linky. I have no problems with amazon.co.uk. In fact I order books from there. Following Michael's idea, you might remove adblock and try it again. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling firefox. I notice the debian package is up to 1.0.4-2 now anyway.
