I am attempting to use OOWriter to open and edit a Word document that contains a small JPEG image. When the page display comes up in a box where the picture should be. It tells me exactly what is wrong, but I don't know what to do to fix the problem. It says:
"QuickTime and a Photo-JPEG decompressor are needed to see this picture." I'm pretty sure I need to install a package that was not called out as a dependency on the OpenOffice package, but what package? Or packages? Or do I have to install something that isn't available as a Debian package? Please help. I also really want to extract the jpeg, so that I can use it in a document that I am preparing in LaTeX. So, in addition to gettig OOWriter to display the picture, I need a tool that opens MSWord document files and grabs jpegs that are embedded in them.
