With kernel 2.4.26 my Sony USB dvdrw drive is at /dev/sr1.
With kernel 2.6.8 there is no /dev/sr1 and the drive is not accessable although lsusb knows the device is there.
cd /dev; ./MAKEDEV -v scd reports creating scd? devices with symlinks to them from sr? but after this is run ls /dev does not show any entries for scd and sr.
Please help.
