Suddenly nobody can login to ftp on my machine (the 'ftpd' package, everythin from the latest testing release). I haven't touched any settings that could affect it (for ftpd, pam, inetd, or anything else I can think of), so I suppose someone else will have this problem too. Any ideas?

Try having a look at /var/log/auth.log or /var/log/syslog
