All the kernel modules should be in the kernel package (kernel-image-2.2.20-386 or something like that), and they should be installed under /lib/modules/2.2.20/ You should be able to find it with "find /lib/modules | grep ipchains", or "locate ipchains.o" But if it is there, as it should be, then a simple "modprobe ipchains" ought to load it.
