Welcome to the school of hard knocks. Make sure discover, read-edid and xserver-xfree86 are installed. Run "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86". If the defaults fail, run it again and try the "vesa" driver. Take notice of any error messages you might see, and act upon them. You might find it useful to "dpkg --purge xserver-xfree86" and reinstalling it if debconf mistakenly thinks your bad config is a custom configuration. The object is to remove /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 and clear debconf of it. (no private replies, please) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
