Hi Debianers,
I recently did an upgrade of the sarge kernel image from 2.4.27-2 to 2.4.27-6. All went well except for my alsa which is now out of sink. Running alsaconf recognises my card correctly but when it tries to install the card I get a mess of "unresolved symbols in /lib/modules..." error messages. My lsmod now looks like this:
ac97 2688 0 (unused)
floppy 44120 0 (autoclean)
soundcore 3268 0 (autoclean)
agpgart 39108 6 (autoclean)
apm 8428 1 (autoclean)
parport_pc 19432 1 (autoclean)
lp 5540 0
parport 21608 1 [parport_pc lp]
ehci-hcd 14796 0 (unused)
usb-uhci 19504 0 (unused)
usbcore 52268 1 [ehci-hcd usb-uhci]
ide-scsi 8272 0
scsi_mod 86052 1 [ide-scsi]
e1000 57676 1
3c59x 23312 0 (unused)
md 54912 0 (autoclean) (unused)
ide-cd 27072 0
cdrom 26212 0 [ide-cd]
rtc 5768 0 (autoclean)
ext3 65388 1 (autoclean)
jbd 34628 1 (autoclean) [ext3]
ide-detect 288 0 (autoclean) (unused)
ide-disk 12448 2 (autoclean)
piix 7784 1 (autoclean)
ide-core 91832 2 (autoclean) [ide-scsi ide-cd ide-detect ide-disk piix]
unix 12720 160 (autoclean)

I've searched around for some solutions but come up empty so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Note that alsa was working fine on the old kernel image.
Cheers,
Jonathan
