I've been lurking on this thread. When I saw mention of Karten's system-info script I googled it and downloaded it without any problem. Your problem is probably temporary. Maybe, try again.
Paul, the link is really 404.
Googling did not get exactly Karsten's script but some other flotsam.
The "si" package is not there.
Any more precise pointers ?
