Sure. I didn't want to be too confusing to Mr "n.v.t n.v.t." and as (s)he didn't mention (s)he had to enter a proxy user information I guessed that none was needed. For proxies which require authentication, the correct syntax is: http://user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:port/ Again, don't forget the trailing slash. This is a known bug in base-config in sarge/testing : apt-setup fails if no trailing slash is mentioned. Moreover, if you had to specify a proxy in FIRST stage (because you use a businesscard installer image), the proxy information *without* trailing slash will have worked there...will be re-used in 2nd stage....and will fail here. A fix has been attempted in base-config for that but is only present in the unstable version of it.
