Make it zero. It won't help.

The BDB environment is fucked up.  Stop slapd, make sure you have the
correct dbX-util package installed (likely db4.2-util). cd to the directory
that holds the database, and run dbX_recover in there (likely
db4.2_recover).

Won't help. Search google for how to setup the berkeley DB environment for
slapd, and after you create the DB_CONFIG file, run db4.2_recover again to
have it apply to the environment. THEN start slapd.
