You don't need to do this. Run 'apt-cdrom', if you haven't already, to tell APT have have packages on the CD-ROM(s); 'man apt-cdrom' if you need. > command to type in addition to for example "apt-get install aptitude" After you tell APT about the CD-ROM(s), your command will work.
