I've run Debian on two ThinkPads, first Woody on a 600X, and then on an A31, Woody, later Sarge, and currently Sid, kernels from bf2.4 to the current 2.6.7-1-686. Hardware detection is _lots_ better with Sarge. It takes some learning along the way, of course. But mostly, things run, and the learning is rewarding. So I've been very pleased with IBM machines; as a bonus, they are very strongly built, and take a lot of abuse. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
