Yes yes. ServerAliveInterval only works if you have the same IP or same DNS name. You could use dyndns.org to give yourself the name for your IP address and update it automatically using one of the dynamic dns clients. Of course, I always use screen for important things, or things that are very menial and take a long time to complete.
