Heh heh, from the fdisk manpage "fdisk is a buggy program that does fuzzy things ... avoid it if you can" (Then goes on to recommend cfdisk) :-) If you have to use fdisk, perhaps try go to the advanced menu 'x' and then do 'f' to fix partition order.
