Hi folks, I have been googling this for the last few hours and I just can't figure out exactly what I need to do. I just installed Sarge (netinst) on a new 200GB drive from Seagate (ATA/100). During the installation process, the partitioner only saw the first 137 GB. I had already flashed my BIOS and was sure things should be working - when I boot Knoppix and run cfdisk, it can see the whole 200GB. I figured, well, I'll put /home at the end of the disk, and once things are installed, maybe I'll be able to see the whole thing, and then I can just wipe out /home, put in a new partition that uses up the rest of the space, and be done with it. The only problem is I still can't do that. Even with the 2.6.7 kernel, I can't see the rest of the drive. What am I doing wrong? Is there something I need to enable in the kernel? I know this is doable because Knoppix did it. I was so happy with this new Debian installer - it did everything else right. All I want now is the rest of my HDD!
